Vacuum degasser and Centrifugal degasser for solids control system

GN solids control produce both vacuum degasser and centrifugal type degasser for oil & gas drilling solids control system.

Vacuum vessel type degasser is the traditional vacuum degasser in China, it is self-contained type and no need an extra jetting pump like Derrick. The working principal is as below:

The vacuum pump create negative pressure in the horizontal type vacuum tank, so it can suck the mud from the mud tank under the vacuum degasser, then the mud spray to the tank wall through surrounded windows of the hollow shaft. The mud separated into thin layers, bubble immersed in the slurry breakup and gas escape. Gas is discharged to safe zone from gas separator through the suction of vacuum pump and separation of gas water separator.

The centrifugal type vacuum degasser use centrifugal force to the mud, multiplying the force acting on the gad bubbles to increase buoyant force and release. The increase in buoyancy accelerates the bubble-rise velocity. As the bubbles rise toward the surface, they escape the mud and are further broken down by flow turbulence.  

Compared with vacuum degasser, the centrifugal degasser is with advantages like small footprint, easy operation, both of them are self-contained, no need extra pump, can remove gas from the gas-cut mud efficiently.

Another degasser in solids control system is mud gas separator, which is used together with flare igniter device. The mud gas separator is complete mechanical separation of harmful gas from mud, do not use any electric motor, control panel or chemicals.

The function is to prevent drilling well from blowout.
