A decanter centrifuge is a type of centrifuge used in various industries for separating solids from liquids, or for separating two liquids with different densities. It operates on the principle of centrifugal force, where the denser particles are forced to the outer edge of a rotating bowl while the lighter liquid remains in the center. Here's how it typically works, the mixture of solids and liquids is introduced into the decanter centrifuge through a feed inlet. Inside the centrifuge, there's a rotating bowl. As the mixture enters the bowl, it begins to rotate at high speed.  The rotation of the bowl generates centrifugal force, which causes the denser particles (usually solids) to move towards the outer edge of the bowl. The lighter liquid (often called the "centrate") remains in the center of the bowl and is discharged through a separate outlet. The separated solids accumulate near the bowl's outer edge and are continuously pushed towards a discharge port by the rotating motion. This discharge can be continuous or intermittent, depending on the design of the centrifuge. Decanter centrifuges are used in a wide range of applications, including wastewater treatment, oil and gas drilling, food and beverage processing, pharmaceuticals, and chemical manufacturing. They offer efficient separation of solids from liquids, with the ability to handle high volumes and achieve high levels of clarity in the separated liquid. Our centrifuge bowl is made from duplex stainless steel SS2205 and SS2304. The solids discharge port is made from tungsten carbide inserts and the anit-abrsion extends the life. It also has flexible pond depth adjustment for different material processing. The air-operated springs assist the cover for opening and has safety lock system. Our centrifuge has a three stage balancing process to maximize the balance of the centrifuge include 1800rpm low speed balancing and real operation high speed balancing as well as the assembly balancing. screw is protect by interchangeable tungsten carbide tiles for longer life and easy maintenance. The screw is also made from stainless steel with heat treatment and the opening impeller will improve the centrifuge capacity with option of single lead or double lead screw. With the benefit of two motors on one side to give more space to the operator to do maintenance. The bearings are premium SKF, reliable and longer operation life and our automatically lubrication system is available for option. We attach our centrifuges with the VFD, which allows to control the rpms and processing of the material. At GN, our fully hydraulic drive centrifuge is used in applications with high temperature ambient and heavy mud with flexible bowl and differential speed. It has one skid design to make it easier for rig up. GN has produced vast variety of centrifuges for different applications, which allows it to not only compete but achieve and be successful in many operations globally.
