1000HP Drilling Rig Mud System Commissioned Successfully

GN Solids Control is proud to announce the successful commissioning of a complete 1000HP drilling rig mud tank system in Yunnan Province, China. This integrated system was designed, manufactured, and commissioned by GN Solids Control, a leading solids control equipment manufacturer with rich experience in oilfield service support.

The mud system includes four customized mud tanks designed for drilling fluid circulation, storage, and mixing. The tanks are built with strong structural integrity, anti-corrosion coating, and safety handrails to ensure safe and long-term operation on site.

 Installed on the tanks are three GNZS594K linear motion shale shakers, which serve as the first-stage solids control equipment to remove large particles from drilling mud. These high-performance shakers are known for their strong vibration force, large processing capacity, and reliable design for continuous drilling operations.

 To further enhance the fluid treatment process, the system includes one GNZCQ270 vacuum degasser, which effectively removes gas bubbles from the drilling mud, preventing potential well-control issues and maintaining mud density. Following that, one GNZJ752K-2S desander and one GNZJ752K-12N desilter are installed for removing medium and fine solids using hydrocyclones. These units help improve the quality of the drilling fluid and reduce wear on downstream equipment.

 A GNLW452D medium-speed decanter centrifuge is also part of the system. This unit is used for barite recovery and fine solids separation, ensuring the drilling mud maintains optimal rheological properties throughout the operation.

 The system is supported by essential auxiliary equipment including mud agitators, centrifugal sand pumps, mixing hoppers, and a reliable electrical control system. All control panels comply with industrial safety standards and are tailored for oilfield use.

 From fabrication to field commissioning, the entire project was completed by GN Solids Control’s experienced engineering and technical team. The successful commissioning in Yunnan once again demonstrates GN’s capabilities in delivering high-quality, customized drilling mud systems for demanding onshore oilfield applications.
