GN Mud System Working for European HDD Drilling Rig

GN Solids Control is one of the leading manufacturers of Solids Control Units and its accessories for controlled drilling fluids stability. Originally, Solids control system is mainly applied for the oil & gas industry. With the increasing requirement of HDD(horizontal directional drilling) and water well drilling, GN mini solids control system are also applied for those industry. Recently, our 150 GPM mini mud system is working with European Prime Drilling Rig for horizontal directional drilling.

Let’s give you a brief introduction for the mud system.

1. Two panel of shale shaker is installed 4 inch desilter cones –GNZJ752E-4N. The treating capacity of mud cleanier is over 150GPM. Technically, 4" desilter cone could hand with solid cuttings larger than 20 microns. The shale shaker is not only for first phase separation but also as a dryer shaker for solids discharged from desilter cone. It is the a compact design specific for the HDD and water well drilling.

2. There are two centrifugal pumps(15HP) install on the system. One of them is working with venturi hopper for mud mixing application. Another is used for feeding the fluids to the 4 inch desilter cones. Obviously, those centrifugal pumps with GN compact design only take little space on the mud tank.

3. Mini mud tank is divided into two compartments for both the sand trap and mud mixing. Control panel is available for the IECEX explosion proof for North America standard
