GN Solidification Unit is working successfully in Africa

GN Solids Control provided one set of solidification unit to African client last year. Recently, GN Solids Control has got the positive feedback from the worksite, this GN Solidification Unit is working pretty well and customer is very satisfied with the performance. 

GN Solids Control has manufactured the solidification unit (sometimes also called fixation unit) for several years. Solidification unit is one new product which is designed for no pit drilling as more and more countries have strict environmental protection rules. It can help to reduce the mobility of the drilling cuttings that separated out from shale shaker, desander and desilter by adding some chemicals and cement. Drill cuttings can be transported conveniently and safely after treated by GN Solidification Unit. Last year, one set of GN solidification unit was also delivered to one construction site for slurry fixation. 

GN Solidification Unit is mainly including three parts: 

1. Feeding part

One large box is used for stocking the drill cuttings. A screw conveyor is mounted underneath the collection box for transporting the drilling cuttings to the treating part.

2. Chemical adding part

There are two adding boxes: one is used for stocking cements and the other is used for stocking chemicals. Each box is also fixed with one screw conveyor for transporting the inside materials into the treating part. 

3. Treating part

The treating part is one high force shear. All the drilling cuttings, chemicals and cements are thoroughly mixed before discharging. This system can work continuously for a long time. 

By using GN Solidification Unit, customers can use only one or two workers to run this system and can treat drilling cuttings 30 to 50 tons every hour. Chemicals or cement added can be measured precisely by some small device. Sometimes, liquid chemicals can also be added in order to have a much better performance.
