GN Solids Control recently shipped chemical dosing system and solidification unit to customer in Africa.

In the solids control operation, it is quite often that super fine particles need to be removed from drilling fluid as it impacts performance of drilling fluid and the performance of drilling-in process. Chemicals, for instance flocculant, need to be added into the slurry flow so that super fine particles can be captured to become much bigger “clouds” and removed from the slurry. In field application it is often required that solution of certain chemical composition is prepared for this separation work.

GN Solids Control developed automatic chemical dosing system which can automatically prepare solution. After the solution is prepared, the system will transfer the solution to second tank for aging, then transfer aged solutions to storage tank.

This simplifies field work quite a bit. All the operator needs to do is to load chemical powder on to feed hopper and the system will do all the rest of work.
