GN VFD Cuttings Dryers are More and More Popular

Recently, GN has got many inquiries on cuttings dryer and decanter centrifuges. GN cuttings dryer is especially designed for OBM and WBM. To treat WBM is one of GN cutting dryer’s big advantages. Until now, many large clients are using GN dryers such as Baker Hughes, Shell etc.
Generally speaking, the treating capacity of GN dryer is 30T/h to 50 T/H. The treating capacity varies by different mud densities and viscosities. It’s obvious that the less mud you feed into the dryer, the dryer solids you will get. According to one testing that operated by Shell in their worksite, the oil in the solids can less than 3.7 % when they feed the OBM at 7 or 8 T/H.
GN dryer has one air knife system and one flushing pump (connected with 4 outlets) to keep the screen basket clean and avoid block. The air knife is using with 7 bar pressure.

The opening of the dryer screen has 3 dimensions: 250 microns, 350 microns and 500 microns. Solids larger than 250 microns can be separated out by the screen basket. The distance between scraper and the screen is only 1mm. When you change the screen basket, you might need a crane that can lift 2 Tons.
GN engineers keep upgrading our equipments for better performance. This May, GN will exhibit one new version cutting dryer with the rotating speed of 1200RPM.
