At the heart of the system is the GN Model GNLW764-VFD decanter centrifuge, one of the largest and most powerful centrifuges we manufacture.
With a bowl diameter of 30 inches (764mm), this high-capacity unit is designed specifically for large-scale dewatering applications like mining and tunneling. Its VFD (variable frequency drive) allows operators to adjust bowl and differential speeds to fine-tune performance according to the tailings’ solids content and flow characteristics.
To ensure optimal separation, the package also includes the GNSJY-6000 automatic chemical dosing unit, which accurately mixes and delivers polymer or coagulant to condition the slurry prior to centrifugation. This step is critical for enhancing solids-liquid separation, especially when dealing with fine or difficult-to-dewater particles commonly found in mining waste.
Both the centrifuge and chemical dosing system are mounted on a robust steel skid with an integrated receiving tank. The receiving tank allows tailings slurry to be fed consistently into the centrifuge, maintaining smooth operation and reducing interruptions.
