The tanks and platforms are built in container frames, with the treatment equipment mounted up top. It’s a compact design, but it has everything an HDD or trenchless crew would need to handle drilling fluids efficiently: shakers, desanders, desilters, and storage below deck.

What I like about these modularized systems is the balance between mobility and performance. You can move them anywhere in the world, set them up quickly, and still maintain the flow capacity and separation efficiency of a full-scale mud plant. For contractors working in remote or infrastructure-limited areas, that flexibility is a huge advantage.

GN builds systems for just about every solids-control challenge you can think of, from oil & gas to mining to hydrovac recovery, but the trenchless and HDD side of the business has its own rhythm. These jobs don’t always happen in tidy, controlled environments, yet the demand for clean mud and quick recycling never goes away.
