In the world of hydro excavation, one thing is certain: slurry disposal is a constant challenge. Every load of hydrovac waste that isn’t properly dewatered adds to your operational costs. That’s why it’s always rewarding to hear directly from clients who’ve seen tangible results using GN equipment.
One of our recent customers shared a short video of his GN Solids Control system processing hydrovac slurry on site. The footage is straightforward and unedited, showing the system in action under real job site conditions.
In this setup, the process begins with a GN double deck shale shaker, which removes larger solids and provides high-throughput capacity. This is followed by a high-speed decanter centrifuge that further separates fine solids and produces clean water for potential reuse or compliant discharge.
This type of system allows hydrovac operators to process waste slurry onsite or near-site, significantly reducing disposal weight and volume. The outcome is a drier solid that is easier and more affordable to dispose of, along with a clarified liquid that minimizes environmental impact.
Many contractors continue to haul full loads of untreated slurry to disposal yards, incurring costs that could be avoided. Those who are embracing modern separation equipment are cutting their expenses and boosting operational efficiency.
The client’s video speaks for itself. It’s a clear demonstration of what GN systems are designed to do—reliably separate solids and liquids to reduce waste, lower costs, and improve workflows.
At GN Solids Control, we’re proud to support hydrovac operations across North and South America with scalable, rugged systems built for real-world conditions. Whether you're managing 10 or 10,000 cubic yards of slurry per day, we can tailor a solution that meets your specific needs.
If you’re in the hydrovac industry and want to streamline your slurry management process, GN is glad to talk through the options and share performance data from the field—just like the success captured in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tDeJJACp9Ys
